Moon Festival Nails

3/4 of the year has passed! I can’t believe time is passing by so quickly. Is it just me, or is time going by faster year after year?

Anyways, it’s mid autumn festival / moon festival again! I have been stuffing myself with health deteriorating, health risking moon cakes~ mmm…..all the oil, fat, sugar running down my throat….I feel guilty.

Aside from slowly killing myself with the oil and sugar filled moon cakes, I decided to do my nails with the festive theme in mind~

I dug out some water decal I bought earlier. This one I picked has this Chinese woman on it. She reminds me of the woman who floated to the moon – part of the story about moon festival that I can’t remember~

1. Painted the base color white. I wanted the base color to be something darker, like navy blue or black. However, The water decal is transparent itself……so, I had to use white as a base. This suck!

2. Cut out and plate the water decal on my nails.

3. Using my XL image plate C, stamp my middle and pinky finger.

4. Paint the little circular part yellow to represent a moon.

5. Clean off the sides and add top coat!

Done!

The stamping part is quite a mess, but I am too lazy to wash it off and do it again~
