Deborah Lippmann Don't Tell Mama Swatch Nail Polish

A friend gave me a nail polish from Deborah Lippmann. It's color Don't Tell Mama. How do they come up with all these weird names?  How does "Don't Tell Mama" relate to a black color with dark green shimmery glitter?

Under regular lighting, it's black. When you shine light on it, it has green shimmery glitter in it.

The brush is not my fave. It's the small square headed type. Not easy to make clean edges around the cuticle.

The consistency of the polish is pretty thin and with the thin square head brush, it makes quite a bit of streaks. Here is a picture with just one coat.

You must put on a second coat to bring out the color. Here is what it looks like with two coats.

One thing I like about this polish is that it dries super fast. When I finish painting my second hand, the first hand is already dried.  Who likes black nail polish?

    1. Jane, you ignorant slut. Deborah Lippmann names most of her polishes after songs. 'Don't Tell Mama' is a song from the musical 'Cabaret'. It is sung by the character Sally Bowles, who also talks about painting her finger nails green, which could be construed as a tie-in to the green flecks.
