Loft Kitchen @ Hong Kong

Kwun Tong is an area with lots of sample sale.  We went to Sleeh's (shoes / heels shop) warehouse sale after work.  OMG!  Everything was so cheap! Heels that were usually USD$60+ was on discount for less than USD$20.  I saw these wedge sneaker which I totally wanted to get.  They were so soft and comfy.  The height of the heel was just right.  However, they didn't have my size for that particular style.  I was quite surprised as they carry huge shoes usually.  That's one thing I like about Sleeh, as I wear a US size 9, sometimes 10, and it's super hard to find shoes my size in Hong Kong.

Anyways, after shopping, we looked around to see what's good to eat.  We found this place call Loft Kitchen in an industrial building that has now transformed into a warehouse / office / restaurants filled building.  You have to look really carefully to find this place because this whole place just looks like a really run down warehouse on the outside.  I thought I found the wrong place when I walked into the building. The elevator is old an dirty looking. The type you would find in a factory/warehouse. When you got out of the elevator on the 5th floor, this is what you see.

I questioned myself whether this place is safe to dine in when I saw this. Then I looked around and found the entrance to the restaurant.

It's looked acceptable and I went in to get a table. The place was fully booked. Luckily, a table was just leaving.

The inside of the restaurant isn't lavishly furnished. It's just a clean simple design.

So here is the menu.

I ordered the chili cheese fries. The chili part is quite salty. The fries was too crispy in my point if view. I like slightly crisp fries with the inside still soft and moist.

Here is the pork knuckle with prune juice. I think my dog would absolutely love this plate. He loves bones. I actually never had a non crispy skin pork knuckle before. I thought non crispy ones would be oily. To my surprise it's not oily at all.

Here is the fetta cheese pasta.  I like this more than the pork knuckle.

Then we ordered earl grey cream brulee for desert.  I love tea!
