  • Checkered Fabric Mani

I must say that I had a lot of fun doing these nails! Not only did they come out a lot better than I thought, it was a lot easier and and a lot more fail proof than I thought, so it was a double score!!!! When I was half way through doing these nails, I was a little disappointed because I just couldn't draw straight lines with my hands even if my life depended on it. But to my surprise, my lines really didn't need to be straight for this mani to look awesome! you just had to fill up the real estate and make it look complicated enough to distract people, that is why I added the blue dots. and I did that using the sharp end of my cuticle stick since this would give it that oval shape.

Here is the list of all the goodies that I used to achieve these nails. Just 3 simple polish colors with 1 white striper pen. I also used gold striper tape along with some gold rivets.
Some of you may now think "what one earth is a crayon doing in this picture" But it is actually my secret weapon when it comes applying any kind of bling or jewels to any mani. You just need to lightly tap the jewel you want with the crayon and it sticks! Then tap it on to your nail (which you have already applied a fresh coat of wet topcoat on) then it just sticks like magic! no mess at all!!!!!!
