和平菓局 Heping Guoju - Beijing

Want to see the old Beijing without being out in the dusty street?  There is a remake of old Beijing street in the basement of  北京百貨大樓 (Beijing Department Store) in Wangfujing.

Not a fan of dusty street and the authentic dirty alley ways of the outside world.  So, went to the basement of the department store for some photo spots.  The place is free entry.  Good way to spend and hour or so.

Some of the shops are not just for show.  They actually sell things, obviously more expensive than usual, but still pretty cheap.

There a bath house themed coffee shop within Heping Guoju call 清华池咖啡.

Not too crowded on a weekday afternoon.  Coffee was so good though.  Just a place to rest our feet and some photos.
