Wired Cafe - Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
I usually avoid any western food when I dine out in Hong Kong. I find western food in Hong Kong is usually a rip off and they don't taste very good. Cho found this place call Wired Cafe and apparently she has been coming here for many times now. It's underground in Mira Mall in Tsim Sha Tsui. I was a little skeptical when she said to come to this place for dinner. I sat down and looked at the menu and was very surprised with the prices. They were mainly around HK$100. That's quite cheap for be in a pretty nice mall in Tsim Sha Tsui.
I ordered carbonara. Not super creamy like it usually is when I have it in Vancouver. I think it's to cut the cost and also because many Chinese don't like super rich creamy food. It's still good.
Cho got the taco rice. The presentation is great and it's really like a taco, but on rice.
We also ordered the chicken curry rice. Yummy.
I was expecting Cho to be very hungry, so I order an appetizer of fried chicken and chips. Turns out that she wasn't even able to finish her plate of food. I ended up eating most of the chicken and chips. The chicken was very tender and juicy. I love the potato wedges at the bottom. Soft in the inside, light and crispy on the outside.
It was happy hour, which is before 8pm. The drinks were buy 1 get 1 free. So, we order the plum soda/alcoholic drink and another in lychee flavor. Cho insisted that the plum tasted great, but it only reminds me of the medicine I had when I was a kid. It totally disgusted me.
Wired Cafe is at point l in the list "Places Part 1" on the map.
