Day 2: Gram Cafe and Pancakes - Fukuoka, Japan

Walking all day, my feet were killing me by afternoon.  My shopaholic friends had got my legs worn out for the day.  Well, that may also be my own fault for not sleeping and running around at the seaside park in the morning when my friends were sleeping soundly at the studio until noon....

Walking around Tenjin, we came across Gram Cafe!  Just the thing we needed.  Actually we weren't hungry, but we really needed a place to sit down.  And seeing the pictures of these fluffy babies, there is no reason not to do so.  They have limited serving each day, which they will mark on a chalkboard at the shop front showing if it's still available.  Luckily for us, it was still available.  Actually, there wren't a lot of people there.  Maybe it was because of the time of the day and the day of the week?  

Just look at the height of the pancake!  Well, to be fair, it's more like a souffle stack on top of each other.  It was good though.  Really love how fluffy and light it is.

Other than a sweet pancake, we ordered a savory one.  The pancake itself is not savory.  It's normal pancake.  But I like the combination of eating it with the ham and scrambled egg.

Compared to the sweet one, I like the savory dish more.  Just a personal preference.  I am not a big fan of desserts.  I like salty food.
