Bricklane - Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

We have always hear good things about Bricklane. It is somewhat cheap in price while the food is still good. We have been deciding on the location for friends gathering that they participate in the entertainment app as well. So we decided to come back. For Bricklane, even the appetizer will be counted in the buy one get one free coupon. And of course the cheapest item on the bill will be freed. 

We had the seafood pasta. Nothing too special. I’m not really a seafood pasta fan but this one is acceptable. 

The burger was good. Love the thick cut fries.  However it was definitely a hard to share dish. Us being very Chinese, we share everything, which was totally a mistake here. The things we ordered were very hard to share. 

Eggs Benedict. I’ve had much better elsewhere. Somehow it just wasn’t that good. The avocado was not good tomato was not good. It was also a sharing disaster.

Guinness beef pie. I hate peas. I did not know this – cards with that much Peas. The beef pie was really nothing. It’s really just a beef soup. A very small bowl of beef soup. Making it seem like the peas was the main dish. The mashed potato was not very mashed at all and there was no seasoning. It was very dried. Will never ever ordered this dish again. 

We also ordered the baby back rib. It wasn’t very tender. The meat definitely was not easy to get off the bone. 

My friend seem to like the truffle fries. It’s OK.

I don’t know if it’s because we have grown up and our taste have grown as well. The place is not as good as we expected. Good that we didn’t have to pay full price.  Everything was buy one get one free so we have three dishes freed.
