A Little Treasure in a Sketchy Alley - Salt Tasting Room - Vancouver

Not a wine person, but fun to pretend to be a little classy and go for some wine.  Called a cab to take me to the Salt Tasting Room and the cab stopped in an alley where I saw 3 junkies passing by.  All looking half dead like a zombie.  I asked the driver, "Where is the Salt Tasting Room?"  He pointed at a not very eye catching entrance that I would probably have missed and said told me not to worry and he would only leave after seeing me enter the restaurant.  That's how sketchy the alley is.

For the wine menu, we can get the tasting set to have 3 different wines recommended according to our preference.  The staffs are very helpful and helped us match some food to go with our wines.  I have no idea how to even pronounce the different meat and cheese there.  So, I just let the expert helped us out.  Fun experience.  A good place to just sit and chill with friends.
