Day 2: Kuromon Breakfast - Osaka

A good thing or a bad thing about staying next to the Kuramon Market (Eat 18) is that food is just steps away.  Great that it opens early and we would be surround with Japanese food option for breakfast.  Bad thing is that it's for tourist and food is expensive~

Love that everything in the market is already opened when we woke up around 9am.  Just walk down and be surrounded by food. Lots of seafood!  Sushi, sashimi, rice bowl and noodles.

It was already pretty busy by 9am.

For us, we really wanted tuna sushi~  Found one that turns the tuna cut into either sushi and sashimi on the spot.  Also with seatings.  Chose a block of fatty and lean tuna.

The sushi chef immediately helps prepare it into sushi form.

Looking gorgeous.

And just like that, 13,100 yen was spent for 15 pieces of tuna sushi.  This is just the first part of breakfast.  The tuna was so fresh and sweet.  It fell apart in our mouths.

Up next was uni sashimi~ Can't even remember how much but wasn't too cheap.  Very fresh!

More tuna at another shop.  It was cheaper, but the taste was also not as good.

Japanese beef is a must have in Japan.

Again, can't remember how much, but not cheap.  Very juicy, tender and just falls apart.

For dessert, got some mochi.  Super soft.

Had to go for more fatty tuna.  Yummy.

To wash down the fatty tuna, got matcha from one of the many souvenir shops.
