Mangwon Market + Yeonnam Dong Cafe

Love dumplings. Whether they are Chinese, Polish, Italian or Korean, love them all. Was taking a bus from Hongdae to Mangwon Market and the bus stops front in front of a mandu shop. Just had to have some giant dumplings before heading into Mangwon market for more food.

Naver map makes it so much easier to take buses in Korea. Can search in English. Taking the bus from Hongdae to Mangwon is about 15 minutes compared to a 40 minute walk. Our feet thanked us for taking the bus.

Just went we were about to head into the Mangwon Market, we saw this little mandu take out shop - 연만두 Yeonmandu (Eat 161). Just had to get some.

Really quite big. I was 70% with just 2.

Then headed into the market looking for some warm food.

Found this noodle shop with lots of seniors. Long line up. That must mean good? 홍두깨손칼국수Hongdukke Son Kalguksu (Eat 162).

Got ourselves a jajangmyeon and a soup noodle that I don't even know what it's called. Both good. Like plain food.

Then off to Yeonnam Dong by bus for coffee and desserts.

First time seeing a tourist info truck. Convenient for tourists to ask for info. Located in Yeonnam Dong.

Opened up google map and found this coffee shop call 버터앤쉘터 연남점 Butter & Shelter (Eat 163).

Walking back to Hongdae, we came across a ginseng festival. Played some games and got some instant ginseng drinks. SUPER BITTER! What I imagined soap to taste like.

And then enjoyed some rice cake we got from Mangwon Market. Quite flavorless. Only got it because we were curious what it tastes like. Probably won't buy them again.

Off to the airport as one of us is leaving first.

It has been a Halloween week in Hongdae. For the whole week we were in Hongdae, there were people dressing up every night. Love the party atmosphere though we don't party anymore.
