Quick weekend trip to Chongqing!

Heading to the airport right after work.

Just a few hours and we were at Chongqing already! The land of spicy food!

Taxis there are yellow. From all the taxis we took during the trip, the cars smells, dusty and dirty...drivers won't help people put luggage into the trunk and the trunk isn't very big. Can barely fit 2 luggage.

Airport is pretty close to Jiefangbei, the area we decided to stay in. Seems like a relatively more expensive place since it's a touristy area. But hey, still a lot cheaper than Hong Kong. Need to make sure we were staying in a nice hotel with clean room and beds.

Love our little apartment that came with washer, dryer, dining room, living room, 2 bedrooms and most importantly 2 bathrooms! It's already a very modern city, but there are still area that's dusty and dirty. I just need to wash my clothes everyday after going outdoor.

There are hotels for less than USD40 a night, but I am already not in a 1st tier city, I need to make sure I get to sleep in a secure and clean room. So, we booked this USD200 a night service apartment. Worth every penny. The outside smells bad and dusty and people are generally loud and mostly don't have a sense of personal space. Not that they are evil, but just very different from what we were used to. Getting back to this apartment each day was the time we could finally relax and go to the washroom. The staffs are all very helpful and politely.
