Desserts @ Ciak in the Kitchen Landmark Hong Kong
Did I say I am on diet? Well, I am!!!! But it's Friday night!!!!! I got to indulge myself a little after a week of work. So here I am in Landmark Hong Kong and got some take out desserts. I love desserts at Ciak. So, I got a little bit of desserts from them. I don't know what these are other than the pana cotta.
Here's the box of my assorted desserts. My week of hard effort in keeping up with my diet went into the drain.
Ta-dah!!! The 2 cups with flower petals are pana cotta.
This one...I don't really like it. It's not bad, but too fudgy. It's a creamy fudgy nutty stuff...with crumbs on top. Looks nice but not my cup of tea~
Here is my cup of pana cotta. They have the fluffiest pana cotta. On the top they decorate it with colorful edible flowers and fruit and a piece of gold flake. They have these tiny little beads of pears on the top which I find very confusing. I don't understand why they would put so much time and energy into shaping it into little beads. Though I am sure they have tools to do it, but still find it a waste of effort to shape it into perfect little beads. I guess I'll never understand the art of culinary.
This....I don't get it. Don't know what it is. It's pretty hard on the outside. Inside soft chocolate. Like truffles. Very strong chocolate taste but not sweet.
This is another one I like. Again I don't know what it is. It's a chocolate tart? Creamy chocolate on the outside with salted caramel and crunchy caramel peanut in the middle. I like this one!
Anyways, I love desserts at this place, but just not the choices I made tonight. These are their premade desserts in the display fridge. I like the ones they make fresh on order when you dine in.
Now I'll have to cry all night and all weekend about how I wasted my week of effort in trying to stay on diet...
This place is kind of pricey. The food is real western food, unlike many of the fake ones that they try to scam the Chinese with. The food is pretty good, but I'd rather have their desserts than any of their main course.
