Urban Bakery @ Hong Kong Landmark
It's Friday night and we have nothing to do. Came across Urban Bakery and see these tall cakes! One of my favorite cakes has got to be red velvet. I immediately begged Cho to get me a slice as we spent all my money on dinner...not that I had much money in my wallet in the first place.
They look nice in the picture. Don't know how they taste~
Address: Room 322, 3/F, The Landmark, 12-16 Des Voeux Road Central, Central
This slice of cake is HKD$60 a slice. Not very pricey but not cheap either. But then we are in Central, where everything is expensive, so $60 a slice is pretty cheap for the location.
I am quite disappointed with the red velvet cake. It's not like those moist and soft cakes I get in New York. It's stiff, and blend. I can't taste any chocolate in it. As for the cream cheese part...it's dry and stiff like play dough. There is barely any cream cheese taste....I hate the cake! This isn't qualified to be a cake. It feels like a hard over night muffin.
Cho likes it though. Weird.
Cho heard from her friend that they have the best hard candies. I don't see what's so special about it. I bet she only got it because of the packaging.

Urban Bakery at point N in "Places Part 1" on the map.
