Wanya Sushi Annex - Hong Kong
We went to the expensive all you can eat Wanya before in Central, Hong Kong. Then I realized there is also another tiny shop in a quiet street in Central that's also call Wanya. By the look of the place, I didn't expect much. It was on a tiny run down looking street. The shop is tiny, practically no design or style at all. They have all you can eat or a la carte. I was in the mood for all you can eat. I find myself wasting money to have all you can eat when I can't eat much at all.
So, we ordered a sushi set as below~ Believe, they look a lot more delicious in real life. We took the picture with our cell phone, hence the bad quality and color. Everything was just so fresh and delicious. There wasn't the tiniest bit of stinky fishy taste. The amaebi is pretty big as compared to the usual ones in other restaurants. It's quite hard to get a good piece of tuna in Hong Kong. These tuna sushi are pretty good~ (but I still prefer the ones I can get in Vancouver, and Japan's still the best). The salmons are the belly part, fresh and sweet.
It was a really hot night. We also ordered a cold udon. I love it. Very refreshing.
Eating in Central can be very pricey. However, this dinner was only HKD$178! That's enough for Cho and me. After seeing the bill, I am glad this place doesn't have fancy furnishing, if not the bill would at least be a double. I am definitely coming to this place again.
