Kings' Lodge 霸王山莊 - Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
I love peking duck! I can never say no to any gathering where we are eating peking duck. Was walking around in Tsim Sha Tsui and I just couldn't think of anything good to eat. Was tired and wasn't in the best mood. But that's ok, peking duck will brighten anything up. Came to Kings' Lodge for peking duck. They seem to be a popular place. Lots of tourists there. They probably did some marketing/advertising in some media for tourists. We ordered way too much for 2 people. First of, it's the peking duck. It's more meaty than I expected. We ordered half a duck. There's so little skin to meat ratio. Not happy about it.
That's the crepe thing to wrap the meat in.
Green onion, sauce and cucumber to go into the wrap as well.
Actually quite disappointed in the peking duck. Not a lot of flavor. How is that possible? How can they make a duck bland? That's a mystery. AT the table when I was sitting, I was able to see the waiter/waitress curve the duck. Feel so guilty seeing how she just throw away the duck after cutting out the skin and part of the meat. Then she will throw the whole duck away into the trash when there were a lot of meat on it....I thought they would use the remaining duck meat for another dish...but not.
Then we had the chicken noodle. It was ok.
Xiao Long Bao~ Yummy.
More dumplings
The dumplings too plain? Dunk it in the vinegar sauce~.
