Vietnamese Coffee Making at Angsana Lang Co - Da Nang, Vietnam
It was Winter when we went. All our friends all us there is NO winter in Vietnam, which was a total lie. At least, that is not the case at Da Nang. Between December and February, it is their Winter and basically all outdoor activities stop. The beaches have red flags up, indicating water activities are prohibited for safety reasons. So, to fill our time at the resort, we joined almost all the activities that were indoor.
There are quite a few of complementary activities at Angsana Lang Co to keep us busy. One of them is Vietnamese coffee making session. Because it's Winter time, it is low season for the resort. I am sure half the resort was empty. Only 2 other couples joined the coffee making sessions.
It really is very simple. Took us a few minutes to make.
We pressed the coffee powder in the silver cup like thing then pour hot water into it. Waited for the coffee to drip. Add condense milk and ice. That was it. Not much of an activity, but we did get to know the other guests that were staying at the resort. Nice to chat with random strangers from time to time. Definitely not something we would do in Hong Kong. Unlike the coffee I usually drink that's made with cream, Vietnamese coffee is made with condense milk. Very sweet.
Angsana Lang Co is at point 1 on the map below:
