Day 2: After You Cafe and Food Court of Siam Paragon - Bangkok, Thailand

Been seeing some really cute pictures of shaved at After You Cafe.  So, we decided to check them out and see if it's as good as it looks.  The After You Cafe in Siam Paragon is so crowded!  Or maybe too many tourists in the late afternoon.  We waited in line for about 30 minutes to get a table.  But I feel, the main reason we needed to wait so long was because the staffs are really slow there.  They are slow to prepare the dishes and definitely slow to clean up the table.  If they would just move faster, we could have cut the wait time in half.  I guess I am just used to the fast pace in Hong Kong.  People in Bangkok were just too slow in general.

There were empty tables here and there but the staffs were to slow to arrange people to sit down.

We ordered a Thai milk tea shaved ice.  It's so cute looking.  Looks like something I would find in a cartoon.  Probably something Winnie the Pooh would eat.

The shaved ice is not cheap though.  Total came to 255 Baht for this shaved ice.  We could get a bowl of duck soup noodle for 40 Baht...

So, after desserts, we go back to the main course.  Went to the food court of Siam Paragon.  I don't understand they make us get a food card in order to buy food in their food court.  Really quite annoying.  I don't see how it is making things more convenient at all.  Since we were eating in a luxury all, the food in the food court of course was a lot more expensive compared to the street, but still cheaper than eating in some dumpster in Hong Kong

I love duck noodle in Thai.

So many food stalls to choose from.  

And we must have some pad thai in Thailand, right?
