Day 3: Dinner in Central World Supermarket - Bangkok, Thailand

While most people would be eating in nigh market or some local restaurants, we decided not to torture ourselves in the heat and just stay in door.  While we were shopping for grocery during the day in Central World, we realize their supermarket has a section where you "hunt" and the kitchen will cook for you inside the supermarket.  So, that's exactly what we did.  We went to "hunt" for our meat at the meat section~  Please excuse the poor lighting.  I don't know why my camera make it so blue.  It's not like that in real life.  The price is relatively cheap compared to Hong Kong.  They don't charge any service fee for cooking the meat for you.  So, you basically just pay for the price you see on the tag.  One important thing to remember is to get their membership card to get discount on the raw ingredient/food and you get points for the money you spend in the supermarket.  These points can be used as cash discount later on your next purchase.  Membership discount was about 30% off for when we went.

We can also just choose our meat on the ipad, but why look at the picture when you can see the real thing, right?

After choosing our meat, it's time to choose our sides.

We could have just order off their menu, which is what I saw some people doing.  But I feel the food on the menu wasn't as good and wasn't as good of a deal.

Very spacious and comfortable seating.  Since most tourists would rather eat out in local markets, there were rarely anyone eating there.  There were more staffs than customers.

There is a bar for those who just want to enjoy some wine.

We ended up choosing one of their most expensive meat there, Australian Wagyu.  Of course it's not as good as the Japanese kind, but this was not bad and the price was good.

Ordered it medium rare and they did it perfectly.  One thing I think could improve is their their plates are cold....

We also order quisadilla.  Not that good, but it was pretty cheap, so can't complain.  And also why I think ordering off the menu wasn't that good.

Next we ordered a spinach gratin.  Really cheesy, just the way I like it.

Dinner was 1,800 Baht here mainly because the steak was too expensive and also because I didn't know about the membership discount!!!!!!  If only I had the discount......
