Chicken rice on the street - Bangkok

Was quite skeptical when someone suggested we should try some local food at some local restaurants out on the street.  But since the weather was nice and dry, so it wouldn't have felt so bad to sit outdoor to eat, we must as well give it a try.  Heard lots of good things about their chicken rice just around the corner near Central World, so we went to give it a try.

Just a few minutes walk away and pass a small river where it seems people can get on sight seeing boat.  Honestly, the river didn't smell very good at all.  I wouldn't want to get on these boats and tour around the place above the smelly water.

The street looked pretty scary.....compared to eating inside bright malls and hotel.

Just like eating at dai pai dong in Hong Kong.

Finally got to Kuang Heng Pratunam Chicken Rice.

The place was filled with Chinese tourist.  Really that good?  Or they just paid enough marketing fee?

Order their chicken rice, some skewers and this soup like thing with blood pudding inside.

This was the best dish.  The chicken rice really wasn't that special.  No idea why people had to go all the way over there for it.

There were many other chicken restaurants nearby.  Seems all the same to me.

Kuang Heng Pratunam Chicken Rice is located at n in Places Part 1 on the map below:
