Day 4: Bus to Maishima Seaside Park and Markets at Chidoribashi Station - Osaka, Japan

Planned to visit Maishima Seaside Part for the nemophila festival.  Took a train to Chidoribashi Station to transfer to bus 81.  Turns out the bus only comes once an hour and we missed our bus.  Had 1 hour to kill before the next bus came.

The area around Chidoribashi Station doesn't seem like a touristy place.  Very quiet with some local shop.  There are 2 shopping street nearby, but unlike any of the shopping arcade in the city center.  

Went to Shikanjima Main Street (Buy 63) first. 

Not much inside other than small local shop selling daily needs.

There is a small shop selling Japanese snacks.  No idea what the snacks are called but they were good.

Saw a few grannies coming by and buying bulk.  So, that should mean it's pretty good?

No idea what that pink rice with a leaf is called, but it's good.  Inside is red bean paste.  Sweet and not too sweet.

Crossed the road to reach Konohana Street (Buy 64).

Again not much inside except for this busy supermarket.  When you see lots of grannies in a shop, it should means 1 of 2 things.  Either cheap pricing or good food.  Or both.  We didn't get anything though, but the pricing really were much cheaper than in Namba.

So, the bus finally came after an hour....and was completely full.  No one at our stop got on.  We ended up taking Uber.  From Chidoribashi Station to Maishima Seaside Park is less than 4000 yen.
