Day 4: Thick sandwich, beef bento, onigiri and more in Osaka, Japan

Sometimes I look back on a day and I amaze myself on how much I can eat in a day...and I wonder why I can't keep the weight off....All these are eating for just 1 day's dinner.  How did we do it?  How did our stomach not explode?
First stop for dinner was at the food truck outside of Donton Plaza call Osaka Tonkatsu (Eat 101).  I was attracted by how think the fried pork cutlet is in the sandwich.  Looks crazy.

Couldn't turn away after seeing this.  Not expensive too.

The cutlet are premade though.  So, it's not hot and as crispy as I wish it would be.

The sandwich is so big that it couldn't even close.  We got the cheese cutlet and a mentaiko cutlet.

IG worthy.

To be honest, the texture and flavor isn't very good.  It's not bad.  Just nothing to be wowed about aside from its appearance.

Then went and grab a drink at Starbucks

Found the sakura Japan mug that was apparently super hard to find, or I was told.

Got their new melon drink.  Too sweet....I should just stick with regular coffee next time.

Underground at Crysta Nagahori (Buy 65), we couldn't help buy get a beef bento box from 牛ノ福 (Eat 102).  Good deal and there are plenty of seatings underground for people to sit and eat or just rest.

Right after a box of beef rice, we headed straight to Rice Ball "Onigiri" Gorichan おにぎりごりちゃん (Eat 103) for their massive onigiri.  Get there early before the crowd!

Love they have English menu.

There is a challenge poster displaying the highest number of riceball the challenger ate.  The top challenger was able to eat 12 rice ball.  No idea how that person did it.  One was more than enough for me.

Choose the filling and the rice ball is freshly made in front of us.

For indecisive people, just follow the top 10 menu.

We ordered a no. 3 and no. 5.  Along with one with custom filling of salted egg yolk and ikura.

No. 3 was delicious.
Custom filling of egg yolk and ikura is a little too salty afterall.

No. 5 is rather plain.

One order of onigiri and two ways to enjoy.  Eat it as is then save 1/3 of the onigiri to make chazuke.

Really yummy!
