NFC LED Blinking Nail Art
This will be a post for the review of two products I received from Born Pretty Store.
I got this image plate and the NFC sticker from them this time.
The NFC sticker is a thin sticker with and led in it that flashes when you receive a phone call. This only works on phone with the NFC function. Just the idea of flashing nails excited me. I think the idea first came out in Japan. The Japanese has lots of crazy ideas and I am thankful for that! For the Japanese version, it's called Lumi Deco Nail. I don't know where I can get a hold of the genuine thing as it's still pretty new. I don't live in Japan, I just don't know where I can get this product. Luckily, there is the next best thing. Born Pretty Store is always so up to date with beauty trends and they carry these nail stickers that has the NFC flashing led.
This is what the package looks like. Each pack only comes with 1 NFC sticker along with other regular nail stickers.
You can get this here:
The second product I used in this design is their image plate BORN PRETTY L004.
As usual, it comes with a blue plastic protective cover. Peel it off before use. This one also comes with a sturdy pink plastic backing, so the plate won't easily bend.
You can get this here:
The plate stamps very well.

Born Pretty Store does worldwide free shipping~ It says on the site that they ship their orders within 24 hours~ Their products are generally pretty cheap. The best part is still about the free shipping, so you don't have to worry about the shipping cost actually being more than the product itself.
Here are the polishes I used from left to right:
Étude House - Peel Off Base Coat
Barielle - 5124 Delicate Dancer
Magic Shop - 02
Saem - Global Eco Red
Seche Vite - Fast Dry Top Coat
First I applied two even coats of the base color.
On my thumb, I applied the NFC sticker.
Then on top of the NFC sticker, I place the heart sticker that came with the package. Notice the heart has a little hole in the middle for the led to shine through!
Here is a video of the sticker in action!
So, what do I think of the sticker? I love it and I hate it!
It's super cool to have your nails flashes when your phone rings. However, the sticker from Born Pretty Store is really quite thick. If you have a very curved nail, it will be a little difficult to apply. Also because the sticker itself is thick, the edges will tend to come off. So, I think it is best to be using this product with acrylic or gel polishes so it can stay on better. Regular nail polishes just won't do. Another thing is that the sticker only flashes when your phone is very close by. You have to literally be touching the back of your phone or wherever the NFC is installed on your phone for the led to flash. So, if you think your nails will flash while your phone is in your purse, it's not going to happen. Sometimes even though my finger is touching my phone, it still wont' light up when I receive a call. I don't know if I got a faulty batch of sticker or not.
All in all, I still think it's a very cool idea and is worth getting. It's not expensive anyways, right?
