Year of Sheep Nail Art! Happy Chinese New Year!
It is the year of sheep! Chinese New year is coming and I can't believe one of the holiday fall on a Saturday! I already get a day off on Saturday, so I basically lost a day of my Chinese New Year holiday. The new year time is the time when people will meet with their relatives that the haven't talked to since last year's CNY. It's a time for the relatives to gossip about each other even when they are just a few feet away, compare the achievements of their children and eat super greasy food. Other than the food part, I don't enjoy the other activities at all. However, I can do just fine without the food as I will just feel guilty and curse myself having mouthful after mouthful of greasy CNY food.
Anyways, if we are bound to see our long forgotten relatives and show off whatever you have. Why not dazzle your nails a little and look your best? Here is a manicure to fit the occasion.
So here are the polishes I used from left to right:
Sally Hansen Triple Strong Strengthener
Quo #1 Red
YSL No. 139
elf Gold Star
Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat
For the little sheeps on my nails, I didn't paint it on of course. It's stickers and they aren't specially design for nail art. It's just regular little stickers. So, they are a little thick. If you guys are going to use regular stickers to pretend to be nail art stickers, I suggest using gel polish. It will seal in the sticker better.
Here is a close up of the stickers. Aren't they cute? There are a whole bunch of these sheep which I don't know how I will be able to finish using.
So, first I painted a layer of the base color! I love the YSL gold polish. It's so perfect already with one coat.
Here is a second layer. Though the YSL gold was already perfect, I just put on another coat just in case.
Next I put on some glitters on my nails with the elf polish. And stamp on my index finger using the image plate I got from Born Pretty Store. It's the L004 image plate. The pattern reminds me of the old time coins the Chinese used to use, which totally fit the new year theme. It's all about fortune and luck.
I used the 2nd image on the top row.
You can get this plate here:

Born Pretty Store does worldwide free shipping~ It says on the site that they ship their orders within 24 hours~ Their products are generally pretty cheap. The best part is still about the free shipping, so you don't have to worry about the shipping cost actually being more than the product itself.
Lastly, I just stick on the sheep stickers and some holographic glitter on my pinky! All done!
