Day 3: 宮原眼科 Miyahara and OPPO台中NOVA體驗店 - Taichung, Taiwan

First thing in the morning, we took a taxi to Miyahara for ice cream. It's a place near Taichung Station.  For a price of what I can only get 2 scoops of ice cream in Hagen Daz in Hong Kong, I got 3 scoops here at Miyahara and with all those toppings!  There were around 30 flavors to choose from.  The building was an eye clinic in the past.  They renovated it and changed it to a pastry/cake/ice cream shop.  Beautiful architecture.  That's probably the main reason why people came all the way to visit the place.  The things inside are quite pricey compared to the average price of pastry/ice cream in other places in Taichung.  But hey, we are tourists, we are meant to splurge on unnecessary things.

For chocolate only, there are over 10 flavors....wtf...

Then there are some other flavors to choose from.

This was super heavy!

The inside of the building looks pretty.

After buying ice cream and some souvenir at this pastry/cake shop, there really wasn't much to do around the area.  We decided to look for some electronics to buy and we find that so hard to do.  We couldn't find anything camera related shops near by.  The lens cover is loose and kept falling off.  Needed to find a new one.  Asked around and people told us to head to NOVA.  We took a taxi again.  Other than taxi, we really don't know how to get around in Taichung  Food and clothes have a cheap price there, so we saved a lot of money there.  However, for transportation, it's not very convenient. We kept on taking taxi and we spent most of our money there.  I know there are buses, but it's too much of a hassle to figure out when and where to get on and off.    We got some camera accessories at NOVA.  Not much cheaper from Hong Kong.  I'd say around the same price, but we had to get it at the time....

There weren't that many people when I went.  I got this picture somewhere online.  It's not a really fancy place.  A very local looking electronics selling building.  Something like what I would find in Mongkok or Wanchai in Hong Kong.
