Day 1: Arriving at SO Sofitel Huahin - Hua Hin, Thailand

We booked a car to take us from Bangkok to Hua Hin.  It is so convenient.  I just booked it over Whatsapp. A clean minivan and super nice driver that came to pick us up at Siam Paragon.  It's a 3 hour ride from Bangkok to Hua Hin.  It was already around 7 or 8 pm and there was still traffic jam.  Bangkok has a serious problem on traffic.  Anyways, the ride costs us 2,200 baht.

Finally, we arrived at SO Sofitel Hua Hin around 10pm.  The check in area is outdoor.  The hotel is very secluded in the middle of nowhere.  Which makes this place even more special, away from the crowd.

Next to the reception is a really big and long fountain.  Saw their free flow drinks at the reception.  The free flow is only from 5pm to 7pm if I remember correctly.  Looks like a pretty good deal.  All you can drink for 650 baht~

The reception area.

It was a pretty warm day.  We had this refreshing cold tea waiting for us.

There are two types of room.  There is the nature room and art room.  We got the art room~

I regret not taking better pictures of the washroom.  It is so amazing!  The food and drinks in the room is complimentary as long as the housekeeper refill it.  If you call the front desk to bring in more, there will be a charge.

A huge tub for bubble bath. And in front of the bath tub is a rainfall shower from the ceiling!  My favorite part of the bath room!  I love that the bathroom is huge and even though the rain show splatter right onto the floor, they calculate the water splash to make sure it won't get the sink area wet.  So, we don't have to walk on wet floor when we go in to wash our hands.  However, once the floor is wet, we will have to walk on wet floor to get to the toilet...

The rain show will keep the area in front of the sink dry~

A pretty big room~  Even when there are 3 of us, we don't feel crammed at all.  Comfy bedding and really like the lounging area where we can sit around the table and spread out our crap.

We booked our package on expedia, hotel and plane ticket, costs us about US$450 for our 5 days 4 nights trip~  Pretty good deal considering that we went during public holiday.

SO Sofitel is at point B in the list Places Part 1 on the map below:
