Surf Lanai - Honolulu, Hawaii

Looked through restaurants on Google map and found this place to be filled with pink umbrellas. So, we came to Surf Lanai to have a pink brunch.

The restaurant is a part of The Royal Hawaiian Hotel. So, not a cheap brunch. It was such a nice day to be eating by the beach. The atmosphere was almost perfect...almost...

The sun was bright, the sand is white. Great lighting for photos.

What really bothered me was the BIRDS! Those fearless birds kept roaming around the restaurant as it is outdoor. They can be vicious when fighting each other for food. They are not scared of human. They just fly on the table ad knock things over when you don't aggressively shoo them away. I hate that they are all over the place that I didn't even want to put my feet down on the floor. I had to cross my legs on the chair. Don't mind my worn out flip flops...but yah, the birds are everywhere, making it super uncomfortable to enjoy brunch.

Aside from that, the restaurant nice looking. May get a little too warm around noon though.

Love hate relationship with the sun. It's nice when it's bright making everything look cheerful. At the same time, I hate sweating especially when I am eating.

Food came. We actually didn't order their famous pink pancakes. We at first thought the pink pancake would look great in photos. However, after seeing the little girl at the table left half her pink pancake uneaten, we thought maybe it wasn't very good and better not order it.

Forgot what we ordered. It's ok. Not something that left a deep impression. But it's not bad.
