Ziptrek Ecotours - Whistler, Canada
Zip lining is usually the first thing I hear people recommend doing in Whistler other than skiing. So, that's what we did in the summer!
We searched online and found it says a zip line course can take up to 5 hours! We were so confused. Wouldn't the actually zip lining experience take like a minute of so?
Anyways, we went to the Ziptrek Ecotours and found that there are 5 courses. Go early to get a spot as these courses starts at a specific time each day. We chose the Eagle course and that takes about 2 to 3 hours. The course consist of 5 zip lines. The actually zip lining might just take 10 minutes at most, the rest of the time would be to take the lift up and then to walk to each separate zip lines.
We need to get geared up at the bottom of the mountain first and left our bulky belongs with the staff. They let us rent GoPro for free, but to get the photos or videos inside afterward, you would need to pay CAD$30. However, you can't even see what footage you got before paying the CAD$30. So, we just took our phones instead. Need to make sure your phone won't fall while zip lining though.
So, we took the gondola up~
Great way to look at the scenery.
It's quite scary to go on the first zip line. So high! So fast!
It was quite painful at first. It's like getting a super awful wedgie. But after I know where to shift my weight, it was comfortable.
Zip lining down is definitely the funnest and best way experience the scenery. For the Eagle Course, it was about CAD$150~
