Basalt Wine and Salumeria- Whistler, Canada
Is it just me or are most of the restaurants in Whistler pretty damn good? I don't go to Whistler much, mainly because I can't ski.......>_< This time at Whistler, we had some time to kill, so we decided to grab a quick snack at a random restaurant. Found Basalt randomly and just went in. The locals must think we were weird. Everyone wanted to sit outside to be under the sun, but we just wanted to sit inside away from the sun. We are just very Chinese about that. I seriously don't understand why people like sitting outside in the heat when they can just relax away from the sun and bugs inside.
We were really hungry. I just wanted a lemonade because I was dying from the heat and thirst, Cho just wanted calarmari and another friend wanted pasta.
Yummy pasta. Forgot what exactly it was, but something with mushroom.
The calamari seemed a little too fried. A little too dry and tough. But still good.
I wish I can find food like this with this kind of price in Hong Kong.
Basalt Wine and Salumeria is at point d in Places Part 3 on the map below:
