Macau - Mr Lady Cafe
Got a day off and headed to Macau. Not that we like to gamble, but Hong Kong is just getting a little too boring. Time to explore nearby cities, especially since it is so much easier to get to Macau with the new bridge. Instead of going to some hotel buffets, we checked out Mr Lady Cafe (Eat 1).
People in Macau got attitude~ Not that they are mean....just very down to earth....will turn away customers they don't want and question your requests, but in an acceptable way.
The cafe isn't very big, would be nice if there aren't so many people. We went on a public holiday at lunch hour, but still able to get a table, which is nice. Hate waiting in line, which people love doing in Hong Kong.
The place is known for pancakes. I see the staffs making pancake nonstop the moment I sat dow.
Pricing is similar to Hong Kong.
Cream caramel latte
Ordered prosciutto ham with Japanese style egg on broccoli. It's pretty good, feels quite healthy. Something we can re-create at home.
Calamari with seaweed seasoning.
Souffle pancake with avoacado and fried chicken. 3 of my favorite food in 1 dish. Sweet and savory. Juicy and tender chicken. It comes with semi runny scrambled egg too. It tastes a lot better than it looks. Best item we ordered.
Yum
Got a pork rib. Not bad, but not very good. It isn't fall-of-the-bone type of ribs. It's the most expensive dish we order, but we wouldn't recommend. Better to just order another pancake.
Total comes to 635 MOP. Quite expensive for a lunch in a small cafe in an empty mall. Probably around the same price in some of the hotel buffets in Macau, but we wanted to try something new.
