Spicy food from morning to night in Chongqing

Noodle soaked in chili oil for breakfast.  That's how to make sure you ruin the toilet by the end of the day...of even just right after breakfast.
Both soup noodle and dry noodle are "mildly" spicy.  But both so spicy that my scalp was itchy.  And to have it first thing in the morning, we were just trying to make sure we torturing ourselves since we were in Chongqing.

Basically 9/10 restaurants serves spicy food and mainly spicy local food.  First time ever when I am on vacation that I feel like there is nothing to eat in a city.

Pricing is very affordable though.  36CNY for 2 bowls of noodle.  Couldn't finish them though because of the spiciness...

Then dinner...super spicy again.  Went for Chongqing hotpot.  Many videos on social media boast about eating in local local local restaurants where it's all dirty and ghetto looking.  The food is questionable enough in the city, why torture yourself to eat in a ghetto looking place? We decided to go for a rather nicer hotpot with clean indoor seating area and air conditioning.  No more eating on the street!

Again, this is "mild" spiciness.  but all I see is chili oil and lots of dried chili! How is this mild?  Luckily, I still have the tomato soup side that is not spicy at all.  Or at least until the chili oil boils and gets into the tomato soup side.

With so much food and only about 150 CNY per person.
