Suwon's Autumn in 2024

Suwon's reality compared IG. Went to Starfield Suwon to check out their Instafamous library in the mall. It's all pretty and magic on IG, but in reality, it's crowded and not easy to get a good pictures. At least you need some professional photography skill to get a good picture.

Started the day from Seoul. Quite easy to take the train from Seoul to Suwon. In about an hour, we already arrived at Suwon. Lots of food options within the stations too, if you are not picky about food. Interesting to be eating all these random dumpling in the station.

Is 10,000won for 7 dumpling a normal price?

Getting out of Suwon, took a bus to Paldalmun Market (Eat 150) which was around 30 minutes away. Would be much faster if it wasn't for the traffic.

Honestly cannot tell much difference from any other traditional market. Nothing we wanted to buy in there. Just walk through it to find a spot for lunch. Interesting to see, but nothing much to buy as a tourist. At least not for me.

No idea what these blocks of brick like things are.

We were not adventurous enough to try these seafood in a jar.

Found a Korea restaurant inside Paldalmun Market - the covered area. Was attracted by the soy bean soup noodle picture outside. Saw it a few times on video before but never tried.

No English at all. Google translate app didn't work very well either~

Still able to order what we wanted though! Super big portion.

From the Paldalmun Market, it's a walking distance to Suwon Hwaseong Museum (See 68) and that area is filled with cute little shops and cafes.

Too much walking outdoor. Took a bus to Starfield Suwon (Buy 64) to just chill indoor, get some food and check out the library in the mall that we keep seeing when we search for places to visit in Suwon.

It's really just another mall though.

Just outside of Starfield Suwon there is a street with lots of restaurants. We were tired and hungry and just ate at one of the Korean barbecue place call 무대리식당 (Eat 151). For the one we went, they have their own butcher shop. So, we went to pick out the meat we want to eat in the butcher shop then bring back to the barbecue restaurant to cook and eat.
