Day 3: Thai Massage at SO Sofitel Hua Hin - Thailand
Anther day in Thai, another day of spa~ This time we are doing the Thai massage at the hotel. Thai massage for 80 minutes is just 1,800 baht. We booked for for 5pm. As we planned to do a Thai boxing lesson earlier in the afternoon. Unfortunately, or should I say fortunately, they forgot our booking and didn't mark it in their system, so nothing was prepared. We were at first quite upset, but I say it is "fortunate" that they forgot is because Thai boxing is to be done outdoor on the field under the scorching sun. How we know? Because we later got a chance to try it out.
Going through the long hallway to steam first~
Before we start our Thai massage, we went in for a hot steam and changed into some comfortable lose clothing provided by the spa. The outfit made us look like some old aunties...so no pics of that. Then we had some lemon grass tea to cool us down from the hot steam and shower.
The spa is quite big and the room I was is was dimly lit. Very relaxing and clean. And huge too.
We started off with a quick scrub of our feet and rinse. The set up is so nice.
The massage bed has a whole for you to rest our head when you are lying down on your stomach. On the floor is a bowl of flowers. So, I guess it's less boring than staring at the brown carpet? The massage was so relaxing that I quickly fell asleep.
The massage was so relaxing that it feels like it ended way to fast. We were then brought to this starry cocoon where we can relax and wake ourselves up with some coconut sweets and tea. Really pretty room.
The hotel was so helpful to send us a spa menu before we we flew out to Thailand. That way we can book ahead on what we want to do to make sure we get a spot~
