Sa Jiao Chilli (Nanshan Wanxiang Tiandi Store) - Shenzhen

I have a low spice tolerance, but my friends said spicy food is a must have in China.  So, we went to Sajiao Chilli  to have their spicy fish!

This is the outlet at Wanxiang Tiandi.  Veyr nice furnishing.  We went early so there was no line up at all.  Love the high ceiling and they put in a lot of effort in the restaurant design.  Much more spacious and comfortable than in eating in most of the restaurants in Hong Kong.

The food waas pretty cheap too.  We order quite a lot for just the 3 of us, but since the price is low compared to eating in Hong Kong, we just ordered whatever we wanted.

I feel like this mall and this restaurants make sure everything is good to post on Instagram.

First off was a dish of spicy cold noodle.  To me, it was very spicy and refreshing at the same time.  I can't really take the spice, but it was really good...or that I was really hungry.

Then we had a non-spicy noodle, which was really just for me as I can't eat much of the other spicy dishes we order.  The mochi and rice sweet soup/dessert as good. Reminds me of the ones my grandma makes.  Then there was the deep fried durian.  No good.  The oil they used was probably very old.  We could taste the funny oil.  Totally wasted my calories quote for eating it....so we didn't finish it at the end.

Then the main dish came.  The spicy fish.  I ordered mild, but it was still quite spicy for me.  My friends said they can't feel the spice at all.....I hate fish and I can't take the spice so I only had a little.  Not because it tasted bad.  Mainly because my tongue and lips were starting to burn from the chilli.  I usually hate fish, but this dish didn't have they fishy smell...probably because there were plenty of chilli to override the fishy smell.

Lunch came to a total of 180RMB.  I think it is considered expensive for the local, but it's so much cheaper than eating in Hong Kong~

This outlet is inside Wanxiang Tiandi which is near exit A of Hi-Tec Part Station.
