奢牛潮州牛肉火锅(华侨城创意园店) Beef Hotpot - Shenzhen

There is something about Chinese people and their love for waiting in line.  In almost all the cafe and restaurants I see, there is always a line.  People are willing to line up for hours to eat at a restaurant!!!  And to wait in the heat too!  Was in Oct Loft and wanted to try beef hot pot.  Found this place 奢牛潮州牛肉火锅(华侨城创意园店) that acutally has no line up.  We thought the place was going to be horrible, but it was actually quite good.

The restaurant looks OK.  The seatings are not tightly packed, but the floor is quite slippery.  I don't know if it's oily or from the moisty of the humid air.

I think because of the location, the place was half empty.  To attract people to eat there, they were doing 15% discount.  Other than beef, there are no other types of meat on the menu.

Even if it's just beef, there are so many different cuts!

Got 2 soup base.  The spicy one was too spicy for me.  There is a thick layer of chilli oil on the top.  I just stick to the plain soup side.

There were 4 of us and just RMB69/person.  Not bad~  I was quite full, but the other girls said they were just half full...
