Day 5 - Yokohama - Breakfast udon > Yokohama Gundam Factory

It was an exciting day for the guy. For me? Meh...I can't care less for Gundam. Actually, the main purpose of the trip was to see the Gundam in Yokohama before they take it down next year. They were going to take it down this year, but it got extended to next year. Feels like it's just a way for them to market the place by creating a sense of urgency.

Before we headed out to Yokohama, time for breakfast. Udon time at Yamashita Honki Udon - Shibuya Dogenzaka (Eat 57).

Really good udon and it doesn't taste/feel weird to have a slippery raw egg mixed in.

It was a 1.5 hour ride down to Yokohama from Shibuya.

This place is for super fans. Lots of things were sold out.

Ticket to enter is 1650 yen and the ticket to go up the tower is 3300 yen. Since we were already there, there were no reason not to pay the extra to go up the tower and see Gundam up close.

There were so many people. Not just men, but many women as well. Whenever Gundam moves, people would salute to it...very geeky, but interesting to see. Every 10 minutes or so, it would changes its pose a little.

Got ourselves a little Gundam bento box. However, no real seating, so couldn't fully enjoy.

After Gundam, was time to sit down and cool down and rest our feet. Found Kura Sushi (Eat 58). Want to see if we can get a capsule toy in Japan.

I would say it's better than the Kura Sushi we had in Taiwan, but still not good. It's fun though. Love how there is a toy capsule game each time I insert 5 plates into the slot. It's not expensive anyways, won't expect Michelin Star type of food.
