Day 2 - Tokyo - Tsukiji Market

Many people say Tsukiji Market (Eat 47) is a tourist trap and it's not as good as it was before.  The thing is, I really am a tourist and I already paid so much for my plane tickets and accommodation.  I might as well just be a "tourist" and enjoy some of the touristy area.  It's not like it's crazy expensive.

Get off at Tsukijishijo Station and walk about 5 minutes and we are here!

If there is any doubt on how to get to the Tsukiji Market, just follow the crowd.

The market is lined with so many awesome looking food stalls and restaurants.  Hard to choose what to eat.  Need to make sure I am making enough room in my stomach for only the things I want to eat the most.

Sea urchin is always my favorite and it is really hard to find good sea urchin in Hong Kong as they can't stay fresh long.

Wagyu is just mouth watering.

My mouth is watering as I am typing.  I wish I can eat more of these wagyu now.

Giant fresh oyster!

So many sashimi everywhere.  Surrounded by yummy looking fish.

Buy and they will slice it up for you as well.  So, you can eat it on the go!

Japanese fruits are also so good.  Never really tasted fruits from Japan that isn't good.  Look at those giant red strawberries....yum.

Some stalls offer seating as well, but it was just too hard to decide which stall to choose.

Toro! Love fatty tuna.  If someone tell me they don't like fatty tuna, it's as evil as someone saying they don't like puppies.

Fresh oysters were so sweet and no weird taste at all.

More tuna!  Now with uni and rice.  If only I have a bigger stomach to eat more.

Picture says it all.  I don't know how picky others are, saying Tsukiji Market isn't good....I guess I have very low standards.  I was already happy with what I saw and the price isn't too bad anyways.

There are other things to buy as well.  Kitchen equipments, snacks, veggies etc.

It's definitely not a super comfortable place to walk around.  Very crowded.  But it's Tokyo, one of the cities with the highest density of people.
