Day 4: Dreamy pink grass and bushes at Hanuel Park - Seoul
My feed was flooded with pictures with a field of pink grass and bushes of a place call Yangju's Nari Park. I was researching how to get there and had the main purpose of this Seoul trip for that park. However, while scrolling on IG, we found some pictures of pink grass in Haneul Park! Yanju is like 2 hours or more away from Hongdae, while Haneul Park is like 15-20minutes away. So, without hesitation, we ditched our original plan an headed straight to Hanuel Park.
I have been to Haneul Park a few times before, also during the fall season and never noticed any pink plants there until now. Is it something new? On the day we went, it was sooooo crowded. I have never seen so many people at that place before. So crowded that we were unable to walk up to the top. We had to line up for the mini caddie like car to go up. It was 3000 won for a round trip.
Usually this is where we would walk up. However, for crowd management, they only allow to go down here. To go up, we would have to go around the park...which would take an hour...
Even waiting for the mini bus/car took us another hour. The stupid thing is we have to line up to buy the ticket first, then line up for the bus. This 2 lines are in separate area. There were people lining up for the bus, not knowing they need to get the ticket first until it was too late. Of course, we were smart enough to have one person line up for ticket and one line up for the bus to minimize waiting time.
Finally we were up and it was definitely worth it. By the time we got up, it was late afternoon, the best timing for pictures.
There were too many people. Hard to get a good shot.
The line for a ride down was quite short though.
