Day 1: A dead looking Kawabata Shopping Arcade, 24hr MaxValu and Red Light District - Fukuoka, Japan
I remember the last time I went to Fukuoka, I also wen to Kawabata Shopping Arcade (Buy 45). It was before covid-19. I remember it was full of people and all the shops were opened. Now that I visit again in November 2023, there isn't even 10% of shoppers in the area and many shops are closed. For the ones that are opened, not something I would consider buying.
Had a quick walk through the shopping arcade and left.
Nearby is a 24 hour MaxValu (Buy 48). Medicine, makeup and grocery all in one. Love that it's 24 hour. Something to do in the middle of the night when we don't want to go to sleep.
Got some toys too.
Sushi didn't look very appetizing though.
Muscle ache patches for US$0.13 a piece. Just what I need for all the walking.
Nearby is a street or two full of bars with escorts and all. Didn't go in to check it out though.
