Day 2: Udon breakfast at Daichi no Udon 大地のうどん - Fukuoka, Japan

Underground of the Hakata Station, there is an alley with quite a few restaurants.  Started the 2nd day in Fukuoka with warm udon at Daichi no Udon 大地のうどん (Eat 80).

The restaurant is small and very busy.  Lots of local lining up for udon once lunch hour hits.

There are many toppings variety available ranging form around 500 yen to 800 yen.  The price is so affordable that I find it almost ridiculous.  The presentation is amazing, the portion size is huge.  I wouldn't mind having udon for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Tempura fried veggies are so light and flaky, the inside so juicy.  Fried to perfection.

The udon noodles were chewy and bathed in a light savory broth.
