Carve Cafe & Pizza and Street Vendor in New York

Was looking for pizza and a place to sit and rest our tired feet.  Saw this chain cafe, Carve Cafe & Pizza (Eat 21), in Time Square.  While my friend wanted pizza, I was attracted by their display of cakes.  I got myself a strawberry cheesecake.  Turns out the top part where the jelly and strawberries was very disgusting.  Or just not my cup of tea, but the bottom part is good.  However, it's a little too sweet for me.

But hey, I was there mainly for the pizza and a place to sit and rest my feet.  So, it's ok if their cheesecake wasn't great.  A slice of cheesecake was $8USD.  Is that considered normal or expensive?

Got a cheese pizza.  It was around $3 usd.  I forgot the exact amount.  It was goooood.  New York knows how to make their pizzas.

When I went to New York in October, there was a part of the street in Time Square that was closed off and each side of the road was lined with vendors selling random things and food.  No idea what event that was for, but we ended up getting some grilled meat on rice~

This is $20 usd of 3 meat on rice and salad.  Can't say it's great, but it wasn't bad.  Meat was a little dried.  It was kind of hard to eat on the street though.
