Trinity Church - New York

Was walking around Wall Street and saw people lining up to Trinity Church (See 38).  It looks amazing out and it looks even more amazing inside.  Googled it up and it was built hundreds of years ago.  How did people build such tall buildings back then?  And so much detail in each pillar, the ceiling and windows. Awed.
