Tompkins Square Bagels - New York

A bagel place that's worth its hype.  Went to one of the few Tompkins Square Bagels (Eat 19) in New York.  It's close to Union Square.  The place was packed with people on a weekday afternoon.

Looking at the fridge display, I would have thought they were ice cream. Instead, they are a bunch of cream cheese of various flavors.  There are sweet ones and savory ones.

Got our bagels toasted~

For the sweet bagel, I got apple cinnamon cream cheese on blueberry bagel.  The place load up the bagel with a thick thick layer of cream cheese~

I could taste the blueberries in the bagel.  Goes well with the smooth cream cheese.

For the savory bagel, I forgot which type of bagel I got, but the inside was bacon and scallion cream cheese.  The bagel was warm and soft and aromatic.  The savory bacon and scallion cream cheese was amazing.

$14USD for 2 bagels.  Not cheap, but they were good.

On the way we went, there was a farmers market at Union Square (See 35).  Things were not cheap, but I guess it's fresher?
