Day 1 - Spring 2023 Seoul - Hongdae - Chicken Bus 치킨버스 and Street Food from Tent
We always have to at least have fried chicken once whenever we go to Seoul. Fried chicken is one of the symbol of Korea food, right? At least when I think of Korean food, it's either Korean BBQ, Korean street food or fried chickens. There is a Chicken Bus 치킨버스 (Eat 137) in Hongdae. It's so close to the exit 9 of Hongik University Station. It's on the 2nd floor, with a big bus sticking out the wall of the building.
Typical chicken place. It's not awesome tasting, but not bad. Still juicy and tasty.
Some side dishes that comes with.
It may not look big in picture, but it was enough to feed 4 adults and 1 small child. This is 1 order of boneless chicken with 2 flavors. One is original and the other is honey. Somehow, both taste coconuty.
Also ordered a dish of noodle with some unknown stuff. Spicy~
We saved some room to buy some snacks just outside exit 9 of Hongik University Station (Eat 78). There are around 6 tents there, all selling similar things. We just picked one and ordered somethings to go. Love that we stayed at LG Palace building. So, once we ordered our food, we can bring it up and eat immediately when it's still hot and crispy.
We got an order of tteokbokki, fried stuff and sundae. Love dipping everything in the tteokbokki sauce. Sweet, savory and spicy at the same time.
Deep fried glass noodle is always our favorite.
Sundae is pretty much flavorless, but goes so well with tteokbokki sauce! A must have.
