Day 1 - Spring 3023 Seoul - Mangwon Market

Lets see what Mangwon Market (Eat 83) is like after a few years. The last time I went was in 2019.  Can't believe it's been 4 years.  If I can live up  to 100 years old, covid has taken 4% of my life not being able to travel. From Mangwon Station exit 2, we just walk for about 10 minutes or so along the busy street that's filled with small restaurants and shops to reach the Mangwon Market.

Along the street, saw this traditional kind of deep fried chicken.  Too bad I don't have enough room in my stomach to devour a chicken...

It's not as big of a market as Gwangjang and definitely not as touristy, which is a good thing.  Less people but still a lot of good Korean food.  Many shops selling veggies, nuts, and seafood.

So much meat for such low cost compared to Hong Kong.  However, our Airbnb room doesn't have a kitchen, so we couldn't buy any.

There were a few stores selling marinated raw seafood.  As much as we wanted to try some, we didn't want to risk getting sick.  The market is a lot cleaner than the ones in Hong Kong, but still not clean enough that we would want to eat raw food laying around.

Had some cooked food instead.  Fried fish paste on a stick~

Got ourselves some kimbap

Saw people eating spicy chicken feet in K-drama and has been wondering what it tastes like.  Just had to get some when we were them in the market.

It's crunchy like the Thai chicken feet, but a lot smaller and super spicy.

By the time we got to the end of just 1 section of the market, we were already super full.  It seems the older we get, the less we are able to eat.
