Day 5 - Spring 2023 Seoul - Yeonnam Dong - Koriko Cafe
What is all the hype about Koriko Cafe (Eat 146)? The cafe looks cute and they have a little shop selling Japanese cartoon items. However, other than that, I really don't understand. Especially when people say their food is good.
The outside and the entrance is cute.
They got a cute menu with cherry blossom drinks for the season.
Their cakes in the fridge looks cute too.
Their little shop on the first floor sells all kinda of cute things.
The whole place is decorate with Kiki's Delivery Service theme. It's cute.
With the cafe packed with people and seeing many articles online about the place, we had high expectation. We ordered a cherry blossom latte, a dutch pancake, a red velvet cake, lemonade and a hot chocolate.
The cherry blossom latte was way too sweet and weird. I just don't like the taste of cherry blossom. The overly sweetness just made it worse.
This red velvet cake.....I have never tasted a cake dryer or harder than this. It tastes nothing like a red velvet cake.
This is the dutch pancake. Why do people like this? I will never understand. It's dry, thin and stiff.
Lemonade with ice cream is normal. We only ordered it because there is a minimum charge of one drink per person. Even if we ordered cake, we still needed to order one drink per person.
Total was 44.400 won. This place looks cute, but I would expect their food to be good too. Everything seem to be just for pictures. Wouldn't want to eat in it again.
