Day 1: Stroll around Xitun and eating along the way - Taichung, Taiwan
Haven't been to Taichung much and couldn't wait to explore the town. Had a walk around our hotel and couldn't help but eat along the way. Our hotel was at a pretty quiet area in Xitun even though it was 10 minutes walk away from Feng Chia Night Market.
First snack stop we came across in an alley was Ama Tea 外婆茶屋 (Eat 75). A shop selling drinks and sweet snacks.
Got ourself a taro and egg yolk daifuku and black sugar pearl wheel cake.
Fresh and delicious!
Then I realize I forgot my Taiwan transportation card in Hong Kong. Had to get a new one at the convenience store.
Then came across a stall selling 水煎包 (Eat 76). It's vegetarian too. Got 2 flavors. 1 is with veggies and one with imitation meat that really taste like meat. Personally, I like the one with the regular veggies. Don't know why they can make vegetarian food so good.
Veggies that are crunchy with it's naturally sweetness.
Got ourselves a lemon tea at Kebuke (Eat 77). This is going to be a super filling trip to Taiwan. Too many food on every block...and we were planning to eat healthy....not going to happen now.
