Day 3 - Carmel Market - Tel Aviv, Israel
Carmel Market (Eat 2) is a must visit for tourist. Lots of food and fresh fruits. Many random goods and souvenirs as well. It is a very crowded market that is out in the open. So, no air conditioning. It's fun to walk through and see though. Easy to get there on your own or can book a tour online.
They entrance is already full of people. There are people busking as well.
Here, we could get these middle eastern sweets baklava. Very nutty and covered in syrup. It's good, but I find just one piece is enough. They are not cheap here. Probably because this is a touristy area.
One piece like this is 10 NIS....something I would try once, but definitely won't pay again for more. Too sweet.
There are many shops selling all the Israeli food I love. Falafel, kebab, schnizel, shawarma!
Also sections selling fresh fruits and vegetable. They are a lot cheaper than in supermarkets.
So, the locals would shop for fresh goods here.
Many random stuff that can be bought here.
Lots of spice, but they just display them out in the open. Doesn't feel right...
The market was absolutely packed!
