Day 7: Walking along the Beach Promenade To Tel Aviv Port, Tel Aviv Port Market and the Beautiful Sun Set - Israel
If you are lucky enough like me, then check if you hotel has a shuttle that can bring you right to the Beach side of Tel Aviv.
I asked the concierge staff if the beach drop off point was close to the Tel Aviv Port (See 18) / Tel Aviv Port Market (Shop 8) and they told me it should be no more than a 10 min walk MAX.
DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!!!!
DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!!!!
If you are a short Asian like me with short legs, it is not a 10 min walk. I walked for a good 45mins. It is a beautiful walk don't get me wrong. But under the blazing sun with no shade or a hat, it is a very different story. I honestly believe that the concierge didn't mean to mislead me, and it would probably have really only taken him 10 mins...... But because he is like 6ft tall, so I guess his one step would equal to 3-4 of mine. Who knows. When I looked back on the google maps which I should have in the first place.... the walk was over 3km.... so be the judge.
The beach waves are just amazing, truly amazing
I think this would mark the port area once you get to all this wood flooring area, it is like a large outdoor mall. Reminds me of the Mcarthurglen Designer Outlet in Vancouver.
Then after a lot more walking I arrived in the Tel Aviv Port Market. Which if I didn't know any better I would have though I was in the Grandville Island Market in Vancouver. There is just so much artisanal goodies here.
I love how the kid was able to climb on top of that, I don't recommend it, don't know how safe it is..... but he made a cool pic for me
They were preparing for a lantern festival that was suppose to happen in a few days, but would have left already
I really really wanted ice cream because it was so hot, but the line was just too long.
Love this pencil sharpener. People are so creative
Now watching the sun set and trying to race back to catch the last shuttle bus back to the hotel
