Day 3: Hamosad Burger on Shabbat night - Tel Aviv, Israel
With little to no knowledge of the practice of religions in Israel, we were experience a little shock when we found out practically everything is closed on Friday night to Saturday night. I knew they would rest during Shabbat, but my ignorance blinded me thinking that shops would still be open. Each country has their own main religion and it was my first time to visit a country that follow their religion strictly.
Wanted to find Israeli food during Shabbat and it was of course impossible. Lucky that Tel Aviv is a tourist city. So, there are still some restaurants in the city center, which is near the beach. Most of the restaurants were American, Asian or anything other than Israeli.
Came across Hamosad (Eat 8). A burger outlet by the street. There are just a few tables by the sidewalk.
Salad is huge. The portion is huge as usual in all the other places we visited in Tel Aviv. How do they stay so fit when the food portions are all so big?
Can't remember what exactly we ordered, but one of them is the Alice in Wonderland.
Juicy burgers!
